The end of our first production sprint
Hey there,
We're back again with another update for Dreki. This week marks the end of our first production sprint.
We had our hurdles but me did manage to include a lot of the features we wanted for Dreki.
on the art side we finished texturing the environment and gave colours to Drekis
We also started on movement and attack animations.
I focused on figuring out how particle systems ( Visual effect assets) work in Unity by creating FX for the UPU and a simple tornado. I changed the UPU shader to work better togheter with the FX. I've added an arrow to the IcePad to display the side the player will slide to. I worked on the UI but didn't complete this yet.
In the coding department, a lot has been done as well. All the drekis have their respective passive and active abilities. You could say they're starting to get "into their element" *badum tsh*. Several other background scripts have been added as basis for future features, these changes might not be visible at the moment but are needed to build future systems on. There's also been a refactor and cleanup of some code which decreased the line count of that file by 25%. The ultra power up is now almost fully done and the first normal item pickup has been made but there are many more soon to come!
On sound a lot of the audio assets are made and they are being implemented into the game right now. The mix still needs to be done, so sounds are not balanced well right now and while the attacks make a sound, these are temporary and not done.
